City Bus and Taxi Service
UW-Platteville partners with the city of Platteville to provide affordable, sustainable transportation options in our community that allow our students to come to campus without needing a personal vehicle. The Platteville Public Bus operates five days per week on a fixed schedule, and all UW-Platteville students ride free with their campus ID. Shared-ride taxi service is available seven days per week. Students with disabilities may contact the Disability Access Center to obtain a voucher for the taxi.

Platteville Trail Network
Platteville has over 10 miles of public trails connecting campus to most areas in the city, a portion of which is lighted and paved. For the more adventurous, the east end of the trail connects to the regional trail network that can be taken all the way to Madison, Wisconsin; Freeport, Illinois; and beyond.

Electric Vehicle Charging Station
Increasingly, parents and guests are driving electric vehicles. UW-Platteville has two 80 AMP chargers, each with J-1772 plugs located in parking lot 33. The charging station is available free of cost, we only ask that drivers move their vehicles once the charge is complete so that the station is available for other users. Violators will be towed at the owner's expense.
