News of the week

  • 91¸£Àûµ¼º½coming 2024 – Our students and staff showed off their Falcon pride this week with ! Join us all day Saturday for homecoming festivities, starting with Hall of Fame inductions at 9 a.m. and ending with the 91¸£Àûµ¼º½coming Dance at 6 p.m. See calendar below for a full list of activities. 
     
  • Help us with homecoming dance bake sale – Contributions are still needed for the homecoming dance bake sale! Thanks to all who have already committed to a donation – the Class of 2025 appreciates you – and if you haven't yet, please (s). Soda, juice, water, candy, baked goods, chips and pizza would be greatly appreciated; drop off at the main entrance!
     
  • Recognizing our seniors – Congratulations to the Class of 2025 members of the . Our runners put on a strong performance at their home meet this week and will compete again on October 1. You can view the upcoming competitions for all our fall sports teams .
     
  • Girls' varsity tennis – Our Falcons displayed great spirit and energy at their match on Monday, Sept. 23 against Colonie. View photos from the event on .
     
  • Saving lives is better together – We hosted our first of three blood drives on Wednesday, Sept. 24. Students, staff and community members joined together to donate 61 pints of blood, potentially saving 183 lives. Read more in our news story.
     
  • Open House - Parents and guardians had the opportunity to "spend a day" in their student's shoes at our annual Open House. We appreciate everyone who took part to help set our students up for success this academic year!
     
  • Board Recognition - Congratulations to Rashad Miller, Troy Treece, Julia Seniw, Kyleigh Stumon, and Nya Almodovar for being at the City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ Board of Education meetings this month. 
     
  • Attention CDTA riders – Starting Monday, Sept. 30, only eligible students with an activated ID card will be able to ride CDTA busses for free. Visit the Transportation page of the City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ website for additional details.
     
  • College fair – Students are invited to explore exciting options for post-secondary education at our upcoming college fair event. The college fair will be held from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Friday Oct. 4 at 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High School. 
     
  • Attention student athletes! – Fall sport photos are scheduled for Oct. 4 and Oct. 11. Please report to the Annex Gym – in full uniform – five minutes before your team's session. You can with free shipping to the school 48 hours after photo day.
     
  • Jazzmanian Devils gig on Oct. 5 – Take a ride to the country and hear the advanced jazz ensemble play their first gig of the school year! They'll be playing from 2-5 p.m. at Wayward Lane Brewing, 255 Ward Lane, Schoharie, 12157. Besides great music, there will be food trucks and beverages, and it's all happening in a beautiful setting.

Important reminders

  • 'Villain Cabaret' and prop donations – The Theater Ensemble will hold two performances of “Villain Cabaret” on Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2 in the auditorium at 6:30 p.m. The ensemble also is looking for donations of clothing, furniture and household items to supplement their supply of props.   • The 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ Booster Club (ABC) needs your help – Please considering during the fall season. In addition to student-athletes, the ABC funds: author visits, our food pantry, marching band, robotics, indoor percussion, Junior ROTC and many more organizations and groups that make our district special!
     
  • Student parking update –There will be no student parking on campus during September. However, juniors and seniors may apply online for limited spots in the Washington Avenue lot that will become available starting in October. Learn more and link to the parking application.
     
  • Visitor parking – Any visitors who park in the Washington Avenue lot should only park in the designated parking spaces and should not park on the yellow crosshatched lines.
     
  • Attention grades 10-11! - 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High School will administer the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT) on Friday, Oct. 25 at 8:30 a.m. There is no school this day due to staff development and parent-teacher conferences.  The cost is $18.
