The City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ was notified of 31 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 between Friday and Tuesday. Each person is quarantining at home.
Two cases involve 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ School of Humanities (ASH), and both people were last in school May 26. One is associated with third grade, and the other is not associated with a particular grade.
One case involves Delaware Community School. The person is not associated with a particular grade and was last in school May 26.
Five cases involve Eagle Point Elementary School.
- Four cases involve people were who last in school May 26. One is associated with prekindergarten, two with second grade and one with third grade, and one is not associated with a particular grade.
- One case involves prekindergarten, and the person was last in school May 16.
One case involves Montessori Magnet School. The person is not associated with a particular grade and was last in school May 26.
Six cases involve New Scotland Elementary School.
- One case involves first grade, and the student was last in school May 31.
- Three cases involve people who were last in school May 26. Two are associated with fifth grade and one with fourth grade.
- Two cases involve people who were last in school May 25. One is associated with second grade and the other with fourth grade.
One case involves North 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ Middle School. The person is not associated with a particular grade and was last in school May 26.
One case involves Philip Schuyler Achievement Academy. The person is not associated with a particular grade and was last in school May 25.
Four cases involve Pine Hills Elementary School.
- One case involves kindergarten, and the person was last in school May 31.
- Three cases involve people who were last in school May 26. One is associated with kindergarten and two are not associated with a particular grade.
One case involves Sheridan Preparatory Academy. The person is not associated with a particular grade and was last in school May 20.
Three cases involve Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School. All the people were last in school May 26, and none is associated with a particular grade.
Three cases involve Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST).
- Two cases involve people who were last in school May 26. One is associated with fourth grade and one is not associated with a particular grade.
- One case involves fourth grade, and the person was last in school May 20.
The last three cases involve William S. Hackett Middle School, and all three people were last in school May 26. Two cases involve eighth grade and one involves sixth grade.
Please be reminded that schools no longer are required to quarantine individuals who in the past have been identified as contacts of a person who tests positive. We will now identify anyone within a 6-foot radius of a positive individual as having been exposed and provide notification to that individual or, in the case of a student, their parent or guardian. We will continue to report positive cases.
Health and safety procedures continue at all district buildings and on buses, including cleaning and sanitizing. We also would like to remind everyone of steps you can take to help be safe:
1. While masks are now optional in all school buildings in New York and, in our school district, on First Student buses that transport students, the state continues to require masks for everyone riding public transportation, which includes CDTA buses that serve our schools. The district will respect the personal decision of all individuals and families regarding wearing masks in those settings where they are now optional.
2. Wash hands with soap and water frequently when out of your home. If you cannot use soap and water, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
3. Don’t touch the eyes, nose or mouth unless your hands are clean.
4. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL WHEN THEY ARE SICK OR HAVE SYMPTOMS:
- Signs of COVID-19 are fever, fatigue/tiredness, muscle/body aches or pains, congestion, cough, runny nose, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, nausea/vomiting or diarrhea, headache, loss of taste or smell, rash, feeling sick or unwell in any way.

5. We continue to encourage everyone 5 and older who is able and eligible to get vaccinated.
