Jan. 10 COVID-19 cases

City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½

The City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ was notified over the weekend and Monday of 74 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. The 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ County Health Department has identified an additional 244 contacts. All positive cases and the associated unvaccinated contacts are required to quarantine. 

As a reminder for families that picked a COVID-19 test kit last week, please follow the testing guidance that you received with your kit. If your student tests positive, please be sure to report that result to the county health department . Please contact your school if you were not able to pick up your student's test kit last week.

Twenty-three cases are associated with 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High School:

  • Four cases are associated with ninth grade:
    • Two individuals were last in the building Dec. 28. The health department has identified no additional contacts with either case.
    • One individual was last in the building Jan. 3. The health department has identified four additional contacts, but three are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
    • One individual was last in the building Jan. 7. The health department has identified 47 contacts, but 46 are not required to quarantine as they are all fully vaccinated.
  • Four cases are associated with 10th grade:
    • In two cases, the individuals were last in the building Dec. 29. The health department has identified no additional contacts with either case.
    • In one case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified seven additional contacts, but four are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
    • In the fourth case involving 10th grade, the individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified 82 additional contacts, but 57 are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
  • Two cases are associated with 11th grade. In one case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified four additional contacts, but two are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated. In the other case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified no additional contacts. 
  • Eight cases are associated with 12th grade:
    • In one case, the individual was last in the building Dec. 29. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
    • In another case, the individual was last in the building Dec. 30. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
    • One of these individuals was last in the building Jan. 3. The health department has identified six additional contacts, but four are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
    • Two of these individuals were last in the building Jan. 4. In one case, the health department has identified 38 additional contacts, but eight are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated. In the other case, the health department has identified eight cases, but one person is not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
    • One of these individuals was last in the building Jan. 6. The health department has identified 82 additional contacts, but 44 are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
    • One of these individuals was last in the building Jan. 7. The health department has identified 84 additional contacts, but 61 are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
    • In another case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 10. The health department has identified 38 additional contacts, but 36 are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
  • In another case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified no additional contacts with this case.
  • In another case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified no additional contacts with this case.
  • In two cases, the individuals were last in the building Jan. 6. The health department has identified no additional contacts with one case. With the other, the health department has identified 77 additional contacts, but 39 are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated. 
  • In the final case involving 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High, the individual was last in the building Jan. 7. The health department has identified two additional contacts, but one is not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.

Nine cases are associated with Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School:

  • Three cases are associated with sixth grade:
    • In two cases, the individuals were last in the building Dec. 21. The health department has identified no additional contacts with either case.  
    • In the other, the individual was last in the building Jan. 3. The health department has identified no additional contacts with this case.
  • Three cases are associated with seventh grade:
    • In one case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified 10 additional contacts, but four are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
    • In another case, individual was last in the building Jan. 6. The health department has identified 29 additional contacts, but 21 are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
    • In the final case affecting seventh grade, the individual was last in the building Jan. 7. The health department has identified seven additional contacts, but none is required to quarantine because all are fully vaccinated. 
  • In one case affecting eighth grade, the individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
  • In another case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
  • In the final case involving Myers, the individual was last in the building Jan. 6. The health department has identified no additional contacts. 

Six cases are associated with William S. Hackett Middle School:

  • One case is associated with sixth grade. This individual was last in the building Jan. 3. The health department has identified no additional contacts. 
  • One case is associated with seventh grade. This individual was last in the building Dec. 27. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
  • One case is associated with eighth grade. This individual was last in the building Dec. 25. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
  • In another case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified no additional contacts. 
  • In two cases, the individuals were last in the building Jan. 6. In one case, the health department has identified one additional contact, but that person is not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated. The health department has identified no additional contacts with the other case. 

Five cases are associated with New Scotland Elementary School:

  • In one case involving prekindergarten, the individual was last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified 15 additional contacts, but three are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
  • In another case involving prekindergarten, the individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified 19 additional contacts, but two are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated. 
  • Two cases involve fourth grade. In both cases the individuals were last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified no additional contacts with either case.
  • In the final case involving New Scotland, the individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified six additional contacts, but three are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated. 

Five cases are associated with North 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ Middle School:

  • In one of these cases, the individual was last in the building Dec. 17. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
  • In another case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified one additional contact, but that person is not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
  • In another case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
  • In another case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 6. The health department has identified two additional contacts, but neither person is required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
  • In the final case associated with North 91¸£Àûµ¼º½, the individual was last in the building Jan. 8. The health department has identified no additional contacts. 

Four cases are associated with Arbor Hill Elementary School:

  • In a case involving second grade, the individual was last in the building Dec. 22. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
  • Another case involves third grade. The individual was last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified three additional contacts, but none is required to quarantine as all are fully vaccinated. 
  • In a case involving fourth grade, the individual was last in the building Jan. 7. The health department has identified one additional contact who is required to quarantine. 
  • In the final case affecting Arbor Hill, the individual was last in the building Jan. 3. The health department has identified no additional contacts. 

Four cases are associated with Delaware Community School:

  • In one case, the individual was last in the building Dec. 22. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
  • In two cases, the individuals were last in the building Jan. 5. In one case, the health department has identified one additional contact, but that person is not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated. The other case is associated with fourth grade. The health department has identified two additional contacts, but one is not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated. 
  • In the final case involving Delaware, the individual was last in the building Jan. 6. The health department has identified no additional contacts. 

Three cases are associated with 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ School of Humanities (ASH):

  • In a case involving third grade, this individual was last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified eight additional contacts, but four are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated. 
  • In a case involving fourth grade, the individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified no additional contacts. 
  • The final case involving ASH is associated with second grade. The individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified no additional contacts.

Three cases are associated with Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST):

  • Two cases are associated with first grade. One of these individuals was last in the building Dec. 29, the other on Jan. 8. The health department has identified no additional contacts with either case. 
  • Another case is associated with fifth grade. This individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified seven additional contacts, but three are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.

Two cases are associated with Edmund J. O’Neal School of Excellence. One individual was last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified no additional contacts. The other individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified 13 additional contacts, but five are not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.

Two cases are associated with Harriet Gibbons Student Services Center. In one case, the individual was 
last in the building Jan. 4. The health department has identified no additional contacts with this case. In the other case, the individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified one additional contact, but the individual is not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.

Two cases are associated with prekindergarten/kindergarten classrooms at Montessori Magnet School. In both cases, the individuals were last in the building Jan. 5. In one case, the health department has identified six additional contacts and all are required to quarantine. There are no additional contacts with the other case.

One case involves an individual associated with 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High and North 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ Middle School. This person was last in the building Jan. 6. The health department has identified no additional contacts.

One case is associated with first grade at Eagle Point Elementary School. This individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified one additional contact, but the individual is not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.

One case is associated with second grade at Giffen Memorial Elementary School. This individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified no additional contacts.

One case is associated with Pine Hills Elementary School. This individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified two additional contacts, but one is not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.

One case is associated with fifth grade at Sheridan Preparatory Academy. This individual was last in the building Jan. 5. The health department has identified no additional contacts.

One case is associated with Tony Clement Center for Education. This individual was last in the building Dec. 20. The health department has identified no additional contacts.

Health and safety procedures at all district buildings continue to include cleaning and sanitizing. We will continue with these procedures, and also will continue to follow all required COVID-19 precautions (wearing masks inside all district buildings, hand hygiene, social distancing of 3 feet or more in all classrooms, and other precautions).

We also would like to remind everyone of steps you can take to help be safe:

  1. Maintain social distance at all times from those you don’t live with.
  2. Always wear a mask that covers both the mouth and nose when inside at school or when your student is riding a bus to or from school.
  3. Wash hands with soap and water frequently when out of your home. If you cannot use soap and water, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  4. Don’t touch the eyes, nose or mouth unless your hands are clean.
  5. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL WHEN THEY ARE SICK OR HAVE SYMPTOMS:
  • Signs of COVID-19 are: fever, fatigue/tiredness, muscle/body aches or pains, congestion, cough, runny nose, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, nausea/vomiting or diarrhea, headache, loss of taste or smell, rash, feeling sick or unwell in any way.
