Students at Tony Clement Center for Education will dismiss early on Wednesday as we continue to support our students, faculty and staff following the sudden passing of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ School Coordinator David Simon.
All Clement students will dismiss at 1 p.m. Wednesday. We will have counseling and support staff available at school in the morning and for the rest of this week to support everyone in our school community.
We were devastated Tuesday at the news of Mr. Simon’s passing. Mr. Simon joined the Clement community as our home school coordinator this school year after a career of 23 years with the City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½.
Most recently, Mr. Simon served as the senior hall monitor at 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High School’s Abrookin Career and Technical Center for eight years before joining the Clement staff. He worked as a hall monitor at 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ High from 2006-14, and began his career with the district in 1998 as a special education teacher aide at Giffen Memorial Elementary School.
