Research is sweet at NAMS

A student "excavates" chips from a cookies during a lesson in archaeology.

To kick off Liz Holmes’ early humans unit in social studies, and learned how to excavate artifacts.

But, instead of antiquities, the sixth graders used a toothpick as their tool to remove and catalog chocolate chips from a chocolate chip cookie.

Who knew history could be so delicious!
