Kindergarten can code!

Two students work together to code a bee-shaped robot

The young mathematicians in Kristen Langworthy’s kindergarten at Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST) used their smarts on Friday to develop algorithms and codes that make robots move.

Under the guidance of technology coach Sue McCoy, students learned how to maneuver “Bee-Bots,” small robots shaped like bees. It was the students’ first foray into the world of coding, and they were super-proud to demonstrate their new skills!
