The City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½ Board of Education has appointed Sheridan Preparatory Academy Assistant Principal Tina-Marie Cascone as our school’s next leader!

Cascone replaces Zuleika Sanchez-Gayle, who has been appointed as the City School District of 91¸£Àûµ¼º½’s new early childhood director. Both appointments are effective Jan. 2.

Cascone has been Sheridan Prep’s assistant principal since 2017. In that role, she has partnered with Sanchez-Gayle to lead the school’s turnaround from Receivership, the state’s most restrictive level of accountability, to a School in Good Standing, the highest level.

Prior to joining the team at Sheridan Prep, Cascone served from 2007-16 as the home school coordinator at Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology.

“I am honored to be selected for this opportunity and looking forward to being able to continue to work with the amazing team of teachers and support staff at Sheridan Prep to build on the successes our students have achieved in recent years,” Cascone said. “We have an exceptional community of educators and learners at Sheridan Prep!”

Cascone earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Hudson Valley Community College, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University at 91¸£Àûµ¼º½. She also holds school counseling and school building leader certifications from The College of St. Rose.

Sheridan Prep will begin a search for a new assistant principal immediately. We will update you on that process as it moves forward.
